At the Phi Bat Company, we believe that our bat can outperform our competition. Our bat is designed to make batters swing faster and hit the ball further. Recently, the Phi Bat was put to the test versus an industry leading competitor’s bat by one of our customers, Ryan Simpson, using enhanced Swingtracker technology from Diamond Kinetics. Two metrics were tracked during the test, Barrel Speed and Impact Momentum. Let’s see what transpired….

The Test

The Phi Bat review was completed in a strategic way. First, the industry leading bat was taken through a set of swings where the barrel speed and impact momentum were recorded and tracked using Diamond Kitetics’ swing tracking technology. Next, the Phi Bat was taken through the same set of swings and recorded. Lastly, the industry leading bat was taken through a final set of swings to ensure that swings speeds and data remained constant. Everything was complied and the results were put into the video below:

• Maximum barrel speed ranged from 50-53 MPH.
• Maximum impact velocity ranged from 15-16.

We believe that the Phi Bat can physically make your swing better. Here are a few key takeaways from this bat review that are constant among all Phi Bat reviews and testimonials:

• The maximum Impact Momentum of the Phi Bat was 22 as compared to the industry leading bat’s 16. That’s a 37.5% increase! Elite levels of impact velocity are around 26-27 so this jump is substantial
• On the first swing of the Phi Bat, Ryan’s Barrel Speed jumped from a maximum speed of  53 MPH (with the industry leading bat) to 56 MPH. That’s a 9.8% increase in Barrel Speed with just one swing of the Phi Bat.
