The Phi Handle Difference

Jul 26, 2021

The Phi Bat is a new evolution in bat design, the larger diameter handle and balanced weight are the most noticeable features. How light and balanced it feels compared to other bats of the same length and weight! But, let’s talk about that handle for a moment!

What sets it apart from other bat handles?

The handle has a larger diameter than other bats, approx.
the size of a hammer handle, an important design feature of the Phi Bat.

The diameter of the handle agrees with the proportional dynamic balance of the midsection and barrel relative to the Golden Mean, Phi or 1.6.

How does this improve your swing?

The handle diameter is designed to offer more dexterity through the swing, especially during the launching phase of the swing where micro second adjustments are critical to meeting the ball with the sweet spot of the barrel. When the hand grasps the Phi Bat handle there is a tip to tip connection, the index finger and middle finger touch and come in contact with the thumb. This grip is used for manipulation of small objects e.g. sewing and the tip to tip grip on the Phi Bat handle offers a high level of minute dexterity for the direction of the barrel, a highly accurate localization directing the barrel to the ball. This unique design of balance, weight and durability offers a faster swing speed and higher impact momentum than bats of comparable length and weight. And with a little practice the Phi Bat can dramatically improve a players swing and the ability to hit the ball with more accuracy and power!
